My world View.
“When we find our purpose in life, true happiness is within our reach.”
Take a step back and peel away the crusty exterior that has moulded every day of your journey. Look in inside and ask yourself how are you truly meant to shine.
Most of us have childhood memories of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Mine was owning a Lolly shop. My dreams of becoming a writer did not surface until my thirtieth year. Yet how often have you heard a famous singer, writer or actor say.
“I have wanted to do this all my life.”They are fortunate to recognize their gifts so young. Most of us get caught up in the daily drudge of living and barely notice that we are sacrificing time to pay the bills and make everyone else happy. Whether it be money, stature or material things in the end if you are not living the fantasy, there is no satisfaction. You cannot fill this void, this ache, which hides inside you, a silent shadow of grief a feeling of never reaching your full potential.
Every human being has this potential to rise above challenges, addiction, mental health, disabilities or depression. I have met many on my journey who have turned their lives around by using what they have learned in life to help others. You might be one of these people. I know if we have something to believe in we can move forward.
Some walk the path of God helping the lost and betrayed. My passion is in the arts and the craft of writing. Once I have learned how to reach my readers I want to help the bullied or those who feel less than average, the young, because that is when your dreams begin, fresh and new.
Yes! Family, friends and children can assist in creating happiness. Yes! That new sports car or holiday to some far off Island can soften the blow. This is one area of happiness, there is more. If we are in tune with our inner voice we can hear those whispers, the dreams we once had. It is never too late to find our calling.
Don’t listen to the nit pickers, people who will tell you that you are wasting your time. Have high expectations, but remember nothing comes without putting in the hard work. Remember to share your purpose with positive people who can guide you and motivate you, stay true to yourself and most of all never give up. I am fighting this battle every day, allowing myself to carry out my imaginings through my stories. I will have the courage to share on my blog snippets of my first novel once I am sure it is worthy of my readers.
When you reach your goal you will know because once there, you will find peace and within that peace a wholeness which radiates outwards to others. One step, and another is all it takes.
